To break the taboo around menstruation, Yatan NGO has launched उड़ान – a campaign on menstrual hygiene. Underprivileged girls and migrant laborer women are facing a massive menstrual hygiene crisis. They don’t have access to sanitary products. They end up using unhygienic methods like old and dirty clothes , rugs ,paper etc. which leads to higher risk of getting infection.
Yatan organised offline and online awareness campaigns for women and girls. Yatan also distributed thousands of reusable pads to underprivileged and marginalised women and girls. We have received funds from the corporates sector for this campaign.
